Surveys in Mexican cities on Quality of Life, Competitiveness and Social Violence (ENCOVIS) 2005-2006

This surveys were developed by the Northern Border College (Colegio de la Frontera Norte - COLEF) and the Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL). Its main objective is to explore the environmental conditions of the inhabitants of the 26 Mexican metropolitan areas about the availability and access to services and urban infrastructure as well as the social conditions that can generate violence, according with the elements and perception of the inhabitants of the selected cities. It also allows the generation of indicators on competitiveness, infrastructure, education, social networks, participation, discrimination, environment, insecurity, domestic violence and gender roles (see technical sheet).
