National Survey on Occupation and Employment (ENOE)

The ENOE survey has been conducted every three months since 2005 by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía - INEGI). It represents the consolidation and fusion of both the ENEU and the ENE surveys in previous years. Its main objective is to obtain statistical information on occupational characteristics on a national level and other demographic and economic variables for further analysis about labor issues.

With this survey it's possible to have information about the characteristics of the economically active and inactive population, its participation and working conditions, occupation, housing and household composition (see Datasets). Special information modules, such as the Child Labor Module in 2007 have been captured in some surveys.

The datasets from each survey carried out from 2000 to 2006 are free and available at the INEGI website, previous registration is required. For the institutions responsible of this survey is very useful to keep a list of all data users. Syntax documents provided in this section can be used to tag variables and their correspondent values.
