This survey was developed by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía - INEGI) and the Ministry of Health. Its main purpose is to quantify the prevalence of malnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies and excess malnutrition, and its determinants in various age groups in four Mexican regions in the urban and rural environment. The study looks for trends in the prevalence and its determinants in time, as well as future projections (see datasets).
